At the request of the Cross-Border Workshop, the Agence de développement et d’urbanisme was asked to update the atlas of cultural facilities in the French-Belgian metropolis, which they had published in 1997 in cooperation with a number of French and Belgian partners.
This atlas focuses on 9 aspects of culture (theatre, dance, classical music and lyric poetry, other musical genres, audiovisual art and film, literature, fine arts, museums, awareness-raising and events) from 4 different angles : spread, creation and production, conservation and training.
The cultural infrastructure is described on the basis of the nature of the main activity, without taking into consideration particulars or details.
