ABSTRACT
(cross-border co-operation - mobility and accessibility - French-Belgian metropolis)

At the request of the cross-border workshop, Dirk Engels (TRITEL) and Bernard Quételard (CETE) made a study in which the approaches with regard to mobility between the three regions of the metropolis are compared.
The first part of the study describes the institutional framework of the traffic and transport policy. In the second part, the major options with regard to spatial development are compared and in the third part, transport and traffic is considered within the context of these options. Finally, the fourth part deals with a number of specific cross-border problems.
