Activities

The COPIT-GPCI is helping the parties to think and make decisions together:

With its working groups, debates and colloquiums, the COPIT-GPCI is forging links between the parties on either side of the border. It is building bridges between worlds which do not or only superficially know each other.

  • It expands the perspective on the cross-border area and promotes the development of a common culture.
  • It helps to identify common interests.
  • It promotes mutual trust and consensus.
  • It encourages policy makers, companies, planners and researchers to get to know each other better, to aim for complementarity and to express their own identity more effectively.

Cross-border working groups set up and coordinated in the context of the
COPIT-GPCI

  • The quality of industrial sites
  • Mobility: a dialogue on planning and the construction of road infrastructures

The COPIT-GPCI helps cooperation with two, three or more partners

With respect for everyone's identity and competence, the COPIT-GPCI promotes the cross-border actions of its members and of all the parties, both public and private parties, which are cooperating on the development of the French-Belgian metropolis.

  • It contributes to a better understanding of the cross-border area.
  • It anticipates needs. It looks for opportunities and projects.
  • It identifies the appropriate scale for the projects and brings competent people together.
  • It finds the appropriate methods and levers for action
