In response to a request by the cross-border workshop, Jean Vuathier (SAFEGE office) makes a review of the various techniques for receiving rain water or facilitating its infiltration towards ground waters. He lists the techniques applicable to the rural and urban environments, invariably specifying their principles and advantages as well as their limitations and the precautions that have to be taken. Each technique described is illustrated by examples of how it is applied.
